Pastoral charm and tranquility have made the area into a cradle for the arts, accomodating several visual artists.

There are several locations within the MRC where art lovers and history buffs can truly appreciate. Notably, the museum Beaulne of Coaticook. In addition to its permanent exhibition, the museum plays host to 10 other exhibitions appropriated into three themes: costumes and textiles, the visual arts and finally local heritage centered on the Norton family. Showcasing the local art scene, the Pavilion of Arts and Culture of Coaticook (PACC) has hosted numerous artists since its opening in 1995, ranging from the starting amateur to the top professional. Thanks to its expertise, the PACC is increasingly becoming the cultural centre of the region. In Compton, the Louis-S.-St-Laurent national historic site of Canada offers a permanent exhibition and activites organized by Les Compagnons du Lieu historique national Louis-S.-St-Laurent, such as “St-Laurent s’endimanche”. In the case of Saint-Venant-de-Paquette, the Poet’s Path, the heritage Church Museum, the Tree House museum, and the socio-cultural development are remarkable.

As integral parts of the majority of municipalities within the MRC, public libraries represent an important cultural element. Another important cultural element is the innovative artists in residence program, instituted in 1997 by the town of Coaticook, which allows artists from around the globe to showcase their art. The public can benefit from their talents through various activities or simply by taking a tour of the studio. Additionally, the MRC can count on the contribution of the historic society that aims to help us learn more about our heritage. On top of all this, one can also expect a host of organized activities throughout the year.
