There is an entire array of activities at the disposal of residents throughout the four seasons. The last few years in particular have brought in a significant number of new activities. Whether it be rock climbing, mountain biking, hockey, soccer, baseball, basketball or golf, one can play virtually any sport they desire.
On top of traditional sports, there are also many other types of activities available for the public to enjoy. There are boy and girl scouts, organized leisure activities for young children as well as an assortment of motor sports for the older adrenaline seeking crowd. Senior citizens can keep busy through diverse social clubs and community centres. Also, the MRC has benefited from six community internet access centres (CIAC) since 1995. These centres are located in Compton, Sainte-Edwidge, Coaticook, East Hereford, Dixville and a new centre recently opened in Waterville. The CIACs provide everyone in the community with an opportunity to surf the web and learn more about how they can benefit from technology. We should not forget to mention the activities organized for la fête de la St-Jean-Baptiste and le Festival du lait. Even more, there are four youth centres available to 12 through 18 year-olds (Compton, Saint-Venant-de-Paquette/East Hereford, Coaticook, Waterville) that each organize activities throughout the year.
