Local development

Local development is based on highlighting human, natural, technological and financial resources in the area. Local development seeks to establish an environment conducive to local initiatives, accompanying the project to its realization. All aspects of community life are taken into consideration: social, cultural, psychological and health needs.

The Local Development division’s goal is to encourage and support local initiatives by :

• Contributing to the implementation of a strategic planning for and by the community ;
• Producing discussion and acting in partnership with local representatives ;
• Involving and joining local inhabitants’ strengths ;
• Participating to the organisation of formative regional events ;
• Encouraging the emergence of a sense of belonging.
